Stop Vaginal Itching
Vaginal itching is a sensitive problem and one only generally spoken about between friends or a doctor and patient when there is a problem and at times of a routine gynecologic examination. The vagina is the tube that connects the womb to the outside, and the vulva surrounds the vaginal area. It is self-cleansing due to its naturally acidic nature and forms lactic acid, as friendly bacteria break down sugars. When this area becomes inflamed it is generally known as vaginitis.
Many people find that they are too embarrassed to see a medical practitioner if they experiencing itching, burning, pain or discharge in this area. However, you should be aware that most disorders could be dealt with easily, and any infection should be treated promptly to control the symptoms and avoid further problems with your health. It is also interesting to note than many of the problems that cause itching like trichomoniasis, will actually cause pain and cramps, if they are severe enough. Self-help measures like Vagi-Soothe, are highly effective for yeast infections and are excellent for those who prefer natural treatments over a prescribed med, but more on this later.
What causes vaginal itching?
There are a number of disorders that can cause itching, discharge and pelvic inflammation. However it is rare for itching of the vulva to be caused by a sexually transmitted infection. It is usually the result of a skin condition such as psoriasis and eczema, or the result of thrush.
Thrush is a fungal infection also known as candidiasis and is caused by changes in the menstrual cycle, which alter the hormonal level in the vaginal secretions. This is common when menstruation stops due to pregnancy.
Is there a cure for vaginal itching?
Yes, Vagi-Soothe is a safe natural remedy that can bring relief to the itch, burn and discomfort of thrush. It is non addictive and contains only homeopathic ingredients to safely reduce discharge and odor. It is a concentrated tincture that is taken internally and is even safe if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The best thing about this natural medicine is that it is both GMP and FDA registered. This is far preferable to cream steroids like clobetasol that are also used for the itch sometimes found in those who suffer from hirsutism.
A couple of pointers worth noting, are that thrush does not always cause a discharge and the fact that it’s not abnormal to have some vaginal discharge. So if it’s your first experience, then it really is worthwhile seeing your physician so that he or she can complete some tests including a ph count. Discharge is not normal if it smells fishy, looks like cottage cheese, has blood in it or is green and foul smelling.
Other conditions that can cause an itchy vagina include bacterial vaginosis and lichen sclerosus, which may be associated with another type of syndrome.
Anxiety and stress can cause itching, as can allergies and anything that causes a skin cell to be sensitive, such as excessive washing.
Self help measures
Start by using Vagi-Soothe, just hold the bottle upside down and allow ten drops to fall into your mouth. It will be rapidly absorbed into your body to support your health at a cellular level and prevent future problems as well. You should also try to establish the reason for the sensitivity and avoid swimming in chlorinated water, whilst you have the irritation, as this will make the condition worse.
If you are pregnant check out whether acid urine is the problem, a ph test can confirm this. If the itch is really bad, don’t scratch if possible, as this only causes more damage. So cut your fingernails and wear cotton gloves if you can’t resist the urge. Also, meditation and relaxation exercises can be beneficial if stress is causing your vaginal itching.
Wishing you a happier, healthier and Vaginal Itching free life,
Kristina
